The Club's 25th Anniversary Party & Field Day/Picnic was held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the QTH of
Doug and Donna Schmitt. The event started at 1:00 PM with erection of antennas and setup of the
Club Kenwood TS-570D HF transceiver. Licensed hams made several phone and CW contacts. CW contacts
were made using QRP.
The catered meal from Turner Hall was out of this world. They did a super job. Many thanks to Rich and Crew
for making this event as great as is was. We enjoyed sliced ham and boneless
chicken breast sandwiches, American potato salad, baked beans, 7 layer salad, a large fruit tray
and schaum torte with fresh
strawberries for dessert. (The schaum torte is the best around)
Needless to say, everyone that attended had a good time. If you wern't there you missed a fun event.
