There were a total of 20 people that attended the WARC 2006 Field Day Event.
The weather overall was OK. Many contacts were made both on "Phone" and "CW".
The snacks, refreshments and evening meal were very good.
Doug, WB0WRJ, put up a 204' G5RV that worked very well on the Club radio.
John, KA9OIF, put up 2 army masts and strung a dipole between them. This is a lot
of work that John does every year and it is very interesting to see him erect them.
He transmitted from a small enclosed trailer this year, using a generator
(provided by Lucky, K9LUK)to power his station. John made several contacts on "Phone"
and Bob, N9HAL worked several stations using CW. Our hats off to John for his dedication
to this event.
For the most part Tom, N9HR and Rudy, NF9V used the Club radio to make many contacts.
Tom on "Phone", and Rudy on "CW".
Those of you that were unable to attend missed a good time.
The best part of "Field Day" is getting together with a GREAT group of people.

Once again, many thanks to Doug, WB0WRJ and Donna, KC9FCV for hosting his event
