GETTING A LICENSE FOR THE FIRST TIME?
TECHNICIAN CLASS WORKSHOP: February 13 - 14, 2010
You can get your Technician Class license in only two days! Because of the support of local Ham clubs,
there is no charge for this 2 day course! Home study before the workshop is very important. We strongly suggest
that you purchase The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual. $24.95. You can get that manual via the web from www.arrl.org/catalog
or from Amateur Equipment Supply www.aesham.com. The Manual may, also, be available at the local book stores.
A license exam session on Sunday afternoon immediately follows the workshop.Bring two forms of identification;
one must be a photo ID. The FCC-required fee is $15.00 to take the exam.
GENERAL CLASS WORKSHOP: May 8 & 9, 2010
You can upgrade your Technician (or Novice) Class ham radio license to General Class at our two-day workshop.
Because of the support from local Ham clubs, there is no charge for this 2 day course!!
Home study before the workshop is strongly recommended. We suggest the latest edition of ARRL's "General Class License Manual,
6th edition," available from www.arrl.org or from Amateur Equipment Supply www.aesham.com. As the workshop weekend approaches
we will send you a syllabus to tell you what material will be covered in the workshop sessions.
A license exam session immediately follows the workshop. The FCC-required fee is $15.00. A check or money order in
that amount is preferable to cash. Also bring two forms of identification; one must be a photo ID. We will take a
lunch break (Dutch treat) plus other breaks, each day. There is a McDonald's next door to U.W. Space Place (2300 South Park Street).
You may bring your own lunch if you prefer. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at Space Place.
